A quaint bachelor’s pad in the city with an ocean view sounds fantastic, but only after the Kojabu team transformed an awkwardly designed apartment into a spacious and modern abode for its owner.

After demolishing the unpractical layout of the whole apartment, the Kojabu team redesigned the floor plan to enhance the potential of the space. It was important for the team to have all the elements of a big home in a small apartment; adding a dining table in the open plan kitchen and elevating the floor of the living room area to bring the eye up higher, pulling focus to the beautiful view.

Another obstacle was the natural light. Due to the minimum light beaming into the bathroom the decision was made to use modern white tiles for the light to bounce off of and illuminate the room. In the other rooms, Kojabu took a different route by toning down the natural light with darker tones.
