About

Founded in 2012, by Jacob Crafford-Burger, who has a solid background in multiple design and creative fields such as; Interior Design, Landscaping, Fashion and Textiles, Kojabu has been committed to offering an all-inclusive design and construction service. Core values of our business are cost effectiveness without compromising on the highest quality design standards. We are able to achieve this thanks to Jacob’s multifaceted skill-set, which includes; creative direction, project management and implementation of all projects.

Facilitating the design process, Kojabu has an inhouse construction team of highly reputable builders and craftsmen to bring to life the renovation of small projects and to oversee the development of new builds. This team is a standalone service that can be outsourced by other interior designers to execute their design projects. Our construction team places enormous emphasis on quality, extra attention to detail and providing our clients with a final product that is much more than what they anticipated. For both our renovation projects and new builds, we work timeously and efficiently, and for the former we always ensure your most valuable furniture and possessions are well looked after.

Kojabu Concepts has become known for our attention to detail, strong work ethic and of course our bespoke and personalized approach. Over the years we have accrued a high-end network of clients with the completion of numerous projects both residential and commercial in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Jacob Crafford Burger

Jacob Crafford ¬Burger started working as an Interior Designer while he was still obtaining his formal qualification, a diploma in Interior Design, at Rita Linde Interior & Design School in Cape Town. After graduating, he consulted in a freelance capacity with his extended network before diversifying his spatial design skills by completing a landscaping course at ElaineScape in Somerset West. Subsequently he worked as a contracted consultant on their landscaping projects.
Thereafter Jacob was awarded an internship at Hertex in Somerset West, where he came to know a great deal about textiles and gained experience in showroom management.

After completing his internship, he began his working career as a visual merchandiser for the homeware department at Woolworths (Tygervalley, Canal Walk, Cavendish Square and Paarl Mall). During this period Jacob’s skill in visual merchandising caught the attention of D & K Fashions, a collective of Errol Arends, Bogart Wear, Morgan de Toi and NafNaf Paris, who offered him a Visual Merchandiser position for their Johannesburg stores.
During this time he became inspired by the emerging South African contemporary design movement, a love affair that impacted him greatly and resulted in him moving down to Cape Town where he collaborated with Aleit Swanepoel of The Aleit Group.

Here Jacob cut his teeth in everything related to corporate styling for events and weddings. It was then that he decided to channel all his experience into his own brand Kojabu Interior & Lifestyle.
Jacob is based in Cape Town and works in Johannesburg as well. He undertakes the entire design process, from interior architectural design as well as custom furniture, art pieces, landscaping and the project management of all of these.

Lorehlee Greenwood

Good design is simply unlocking the full potential of any space. This is the design motto of interior designer, Lorehlee Greenwood, who has a gift to create beautiful and amazingly functional spaces.

She is a born and bred Cape Town girl, who graduated from BHC school of design with a Diploma in Interior Design and a Higher Certificate in draughtsman from Inscape University. That deserves a tip of the ol’ hat from us, and we’re excited that she’s teamed up with us as she matures in the interior design field.

Lorehlee takes immense pride in her work – ensuring every space is tailored perfectly to each client’s specific needs. By drawing inspiration from the client, she injects aspects of their personality into the design for a personal end-result.

“I believe the power of a well designed space can transform daily life.” – Lorehlee Greenwood
